Are you being Active or Productive?
Activity is doing anything to keep busy! Putting in the hours! And you look back at the end of the month and you need to ask yourself what you did during that activity that actually made you money, made a difference in someone’s life, or gave you personal gratification? If it doesn’t do any of those three things why would you do it?
So stop Shuffling papers and focus on Productivity. And right now leave a comment on this blog telling me what has made a difference in your productivity?

I have been PRODUCTIVE in the past few weeks because I recently started two networking groups through Meetup.com and became the organizer for another in Orange County, as well as an assistant organizer for another, all relating to my career and interests:
1) Young Entrepreneur Business Alliance: http://www.meetup.com/yebaoc/
I was fortunate enough to respond to the organizer stepping down from this group and was proactive to get the new organizer position. I am now able to schedule Meetup events that go back to back with my other groups and even place my own business as a Sponsor.
2) Orange County Designer Alliance: http://www.meetup.com/Orange-County-Designer-Alliance/
I created this to unite the Design Community in Orange County
3) Orange County Interior Design and Architecture Network Group: http://www.meetup.com/Orange-County-Interior-Design-and-Architecture-Network-Group/
I created this as a one stop resource for interior designers to gather anyone necessary to complete a grand scale design job.
4) 20′s-30′s Young Professional’s Social Club: http://www.meetup.com/20s-30s-Young-Professionals-Social-Club/
I became the assistant organizer for this Meetup today and am allowed to schedule Meetups at no charge to me! The monthly Meetup fee allows you to organize three groups and since I’m at my max I found a way to integrate myself and collaborate with other groups at no additional charge which is awesome.

Hey Ethan,
I enjoyed this video very much. I love what I do but I often find myself being “busy”. lol. Now, the “light bulb” I got from this video is this,”If I can have the same results, in less time,make more money, then why not be productive for the 2-3 hours a day, and then do busy work later?” If it makes sense, it’s probably a good idea right? LOL. Thanks again for all your wonderful training.
