Another Rep Called Saying They Lost All Their Contacts! Google Sync Review!

So it happened again yesterday… I had another rep call me and tell me he lost his cell phone and all his contacts along with it!

Now, this just may be an excuse for not making any calls but I have heard it all before! Over and over. The words may vary, but does this sound familiar?

“It fell in the toilet.”

“I jumped in the pool with my phone.”

“Somebody stole my Blackberry.”

“My Dog ate my iPhone and all my contacts along with it!”

“I got the new Droid, but I accidentally deleted all my contacts.”

You know the story! This never would be a problem if people would put everyone they know on their prospect tracker. Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen and definitely not the chicken list which is, more than likely, the most valuable list of contacts!

Well, here is a HUGE tip for everyone! BACK UP EVERYTHING! (YES! This applies to emails and hard drives as well.) We should have all our contacts backed up every single time we add someone. But sometimes its hard to remember to do that, so I recommend using Google Sync. It works on most modern phones Blackberry, Windows phones, iPhone, Droid, etc. It is very easy to install just click on the link below…

Google will even let you text it to your cell phone with the exact download link so you can click and press “yes” until its all done for you. Google Sync automatically backs up and syncs all your contacts and your calendar multiple times a day to your gmail address book and calendar.

So let’s stop making excuses for loosing contacts and NOT calling them! Back them up. Have all of them for life and put them on your list and call them about your business!

I have to SPEW a bit…and teach you a very VALUABLE LESSON! You ready?

I just got back from five amazing days, conducting three separate training events in the Los Angeles area, and while I was down there, I had an opportunity to hang out with some really amazing people…and,

you know what else I did? I checked my email and read this…

…before I share with you what I read, let me just say this. This happens ALL the time. The way some people “choose” to market (most of them who are broke) is sometimes literally sickening to me. Whatever you do, DO NOT market your business like this!!! While I won’t quote both of these emails verbatim, this is some of what was said from two different individuals “pitching” me on two different companies:

- The New #1 M*L*M Product in the World: Unbeatable!

- You get 90% to 100% Retention!

- 100% Residual Auto Ship!

- It will be the Biggest in the History of M*L*M !!!

I’m already on the verge of vomiting (literally), as I type this. I can’t even go on…it is THAT bad. Look people. Learn folks. This kind of stuff is absolutely PATHETIC ! No wonder some people run when they hear that stuff…I would too.

The hype, the BS, the predictions of grandeur, the blah, blah, blah…YIKES!

Let’s FLIP THE COIN for a moment. In other words, go a different direction, change of subject.

While on my trip, I also had some absolutely amazing conversations and meetings with HUGE network marketers who market and build big checks by finding a company they like, deciding to take action, put their foot on the gas, and go out and promote.

NONE of them, not a single one, markets in this fashion. ZERO, nil, nada, ZILCH.

Ethically and responsibly they go about their business by consistently focusing on what matters most: prospecting, recruiting, selling and training, WITHOUT all the hype.

The funniest thing in this little story is that in my 20 years of doing this, those individuals who make ridiculous claims and market using absolute poop for marketing material are the one’s who jump from company to company and never have any real security in their lives.

How do I know this? One of the emails I received came from someone who has sent me at least two previous emails from TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES in the past 6 months alone.

All along the way, I have friends like Dan McCormick, Jordan Adler, Brian Carruthers, Susan Sly, Donna Johnson, Margie Aliprandi, Ken Dunn, Michael and Leslie Hamburger and tons of others who simply GO TO WORK and build, without all the…

…I won’t even use the word for the others.

Look. You’re in this profession for a reason, aren’t you?

You don’t want to go from company to company, be known as a “jumper”, and ruin your reputation by marketing on baloney, do ya? Didn’t think so.

Remember…SUCCESS LEAVES CLUES.

If you don’t know what I mean by that, you may want to read that phrase again and let it sink in until you get it.

There is soooooo much money to be made, so much time freedom to be had, so many lives to impact in a positive manner in this profession, but the only way to do it, is baloney-free.

Here’s how you do it right:

Pick a company.
Make the commitment to build it.
Start building it and don’t stop.
Help people get what they want and maintain your focus.
Work hard and work smart.
Don’t quit.
Be honest…first and foremost with yourself!
Be REAL. In other words, be genuine.
Keep working on your skills.
Lead by example.
